# Oslo: map, what to do and when to go

Oslo is expensive, but the Opera House roof, Vigeland Park, and the forest around the city are free. Norway's capital, at the head of the Oslofjord, has 729,000 residents, and two-thirds of the municipality is forest and water protected by law.
