Who it is for
For anyone who wants the scenery of the Cape and the history of apartheid in one trip.
Not for anyone who wants to walk everywhere, since in both cities some journeys need a car.
The strategy
Cape Town comes first and takes five days, with one spent driving around the peninsula and another in the wine country. Johannesburg closes the trip with the Apartheid Museum and Soweto.
What you will see
- Table Mountain and the cable car, Cape Town. A 1,086 m plateau inside Table Mountain National Park.
- Apartheid Museum, Johannesburg. Opened in November 2001 in Ormonde, next to Gold Reef City.
