Who it is for
For anyone who wants nature and a big city in one week without a long flight.
Not for anyone with only a weekend, since the two stops are far apart.
The strategy
Foz do Iguacu comes first, with the Brazilian side on one day and the Argentine side on the other. A flight of less than two hours leads to Buenos Aires.
What you will see
- Iguazu Falls: Brazilian side, Foz do Iguaçu. The main trail runs 1.2 km along the canyon rim and gives you the panoramic view of the whole system: the Brazilian side has only about 20% of the falls, but this is where you see the entire front.
- Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. Opera house opened on May 25, 1908, with Aida, a horseshoe-shaped hall for about 2,480 people and acoustics ranked among the world's best.
