Who it is for
For anyone who wants Argentina from the big city to Patagonia in under two weeks.
Not for anyone who wants few flights, since the three stops are far apart from one another.
The strategy
Buenos Aires comes first, and two flights lead to Patagonia: Bariloche first, Ushuaia at the end. The distances call for a plane, not a bus.
What you will see
- Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. Opera house opened on May 25, 1908, with Aida, a horseshoe-shaped hall for about 2,480 people and acoustics ranked among the world's best.
- Cerro Campanario, Bariloche. A 1,049 m viewpoint at km 17.5 of Bustillo, reached by a seven-minute chairlift or a 30-minute trail.
- Sailing the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia. Trips of 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours from the Muelle Turístico, passing Isla de los Lobos (South American sea lions and South American fur seals), Isla de los Pájaros and the Les Éclaireurs lighthouse, built in 1920, striped red and white, on a low rock.
